Frequently asked questions

Are the puppies AKC Registered?

Yes, all Broughan Family Labrador puppies are fully AKC Registered!

When can I pick my new puppy up?

We allow the Puppies to go home when they are 7 weeks old.

Will the puppies be up to date on shots?

At the time they are allowed to go home (7 Weeks) they will have had the first round of puppy shots, we encourage new owners to take their new puppy to the vet within the first week to get a health plan, this will include the time and amount of shots the puppy will recieve.

What food should I use?

Though you can use any food that you would like to use for your dog, we feed them purina puppy chow, this brand is availible anywhere and trusted by us for years, however if you would like to switch the food we suggest mixing half a serving of purina puppy chow with half a serving of the new food, this helps the dog adjust without any stomach issues.

How much food should I feed my puppy and how often?

When you pick up your new puppy from us, we suggest feeding 2/3 of a cup in the morning and 2/3 of a cup at night, and as the puppy grows older ask your vet for the suggested serving size. Some people have great success with leaving a full bowl of food out 24/7 for their dog, however with labs we have found that they really enjoy eating

Stomach issues?

Recently with the consultation of our vet, we have decided to include a home sick puppy kit as we have found out that some puppies have had upset stomachs and have even become dehydrated, this kit will include a probiotic and a bottle of water to be mixed with the water at the puppies new home.

What type of payment do you take?

We currently only take cash.
